The Role

As David Jones continues to significantly invest in its digital agenda, we have a number of newly created roles to allow for ongoing innovation. As Digital Product Owner, you will be passionate about partnering with key stakeholders and cross-functional product teams to define, scope, prioritise and deliver market-leading digital products and customer experiences.

This role is part of a high performing team, led by some of Australia's most innovative digital leaders and provides great ability to make meaningful impact.

Based in Melbourne with a hybrid mix of time in the office and from home, this role will suit an emerging, ambitious, analytical, highly commercial and astute digital product specialist, with an enthusiasm for delivering innovation that leads to outstanding customer and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Collaboratively define and deliver the product vision and roadmap
  • Lead effective prioritisation of product backlogs to realise strategic objectives and achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Partner with development teams to ensure the digital product roadmap is delivered with a high focus on quality, continuous improvement and incremental delivery of value
  • Identify customer painpoints and opportunities to solve customer needs
  • Adopt a test and learn approach to support UX/CRO and Online Trade strategies
  • Advocate for and drive the adoption of agile practices across the organisation
  • Stay curious around technology and innovation opportunities

Profile

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Digital Product Owner within multi-faceted and transformative customer focused organisations

  • Proven ability to manage and deliver exceptional digital products and customer experiences across web and digital platforms, mobile apps, etc

  • Strong technical, analytical, data driven and problem-solving capabilities

  • Degree qualified within a Business/Commerce/Technology or similarly related field

  • A curious, customer obsessed mindset and high drive to succeed is essential

  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships with diverse stakeholders and influence effectively

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present with confidence to senior stakeholders across the organisation

  • Experience with a headless architecture highly advantageous
