Our Logistics team based in Eastern Creek NSW is currently looking for a new 'Logistics Financial Controller'. Then this opportunity may be the opportunity for you! As a Logistics Controller, you are part of the logistics team. The role of this position is to support our Distribution Centre in our retail and online warehouse operations spread across AUNZ. whilst embracing the H&M values, policies and all the relevant procedures, you will collaborate closely with the Distribution Centre Manager, and all teams. Maximise operational excellence, quality and efficiency in a sustainable way for our customers, in all brands and channels. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide constructive guidance to DC Management team and departments, in relation to all Financial controlling aspects in order to increase the overall result of your DC across retail and online channels
- Secure that all employee relation responsibilities, legal requirements and H&M policies are fulfilled
- Manage and ensure an efficient logistic operation, high quality customer service, good product care and sales activities through commercial focus and in order to maximise sales
- Identify business opportunities and implement strategies together with the DC Management team to increase efficiency in all departments and securing that quality, accuracy and profit targets are reached
- Follow up and analyse key KPI's of the DC and initiate actions to increase profit, balancing long and short term planning
- Prepare and follow up budget, financial reports and make plans accordingly
- Prepare the month end process, which would include reviewing and analysing the results, including preparation of the month end journal/accrual (hands on role)
- Actively reduce our overall environmental impact and secure that our logistic chain has a lower Co2 emission than industry average in the market
- Ensure compliance in all demanded safety and security - administration - legal procedures To be successful in this role we believe you have: A degree in economics or other relevant degree, comparable work experience
- Work experience of 3 + years in logistics/controlling/audit (is a plus)
- Experience using Cognos/difference Business Intelligence systems (is a plus)
- Exposure to IBM, TM1 (Known as FDW internally)
- The ability to understand, analyse and handle large amounts of data
- A proactive mindset with strong analytical, planning and prioritisation skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel)
- Clear communication and presentation skills And as a person we believe you have the following qualities:
