Job description

About the Role

Based in our Elizabeth Street flagship, the Risk & Compliance Manager works alongside the Operations Manager to manage risk control and ensure that the store is adhering to the company's policies and procedures.

This role may suit a retail all-rounder that has had experience with inventory control, compliance and investigation. The successful candidate will easily understand the company systems and processes, and possess a key eye for detail.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage risk control within the store by monitoring, reviewing, reporting and providing corrective advice to management.
  • Develop actions that ensure there is an improvement in the Stock Loss Control, AccessControl, Asset Protection and Business Abuse Programmes, which assists with the company goal of reducing waste and shrinkage.
  • Monitor Inventory, Online and POS Systems to ensure efficient and effective site management.
  • Complete audits to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures and provide corrective action plans where evidence of non-compliance is identified.
  • Respond to and investigate identified inventory or system issues raised by stores and warehouse teams.
  • Lead fraud and business abuse investigations.
  • Mentor & Coach Managers to ensure operational efficiency within systems and controls.
  • Work within cross-functional teams to support business strategies including programs and projects.
  • Monitor and review Crisis Management, Emergency and Disaster Recovery strategies for Fulfilment centres including Online and Warehouses.
  • Implement and adhere to WHS policies and procedures, guidelines and safe work practices within your area of responsibility.
  • Complete WHS/EEO induction and any prescribed WHS training.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for team members, contractors and visitors, and ensure that others are not put at risk.
  • Report injuries or hazards as per policy and support return-to-work programs.
